The Netgate® 2100, a security gateway appliance powered by pfSense® Plus software, delivers unmatched performance and flexibility in its class. It is ideal for home deployments, remote workers, and small businesses that require increased computing resources to support multiple pfSense add-on packages, as well as the VPN performance needed to handle multiple site-to-site and remote user connections. It features a Dual Core ARM Cortex A53 CPU running at 1.2 GHz, a dedicated 1 GbE WAN port (RJ45/SFP combo), four Marvell 1 GbE switch ports, 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, and expandable storage. The 2100 also includes additional expansion slots for LTE, Wi-Fi, or M.2 SSDs.
The Netgate 2100 is a compact yet powerful desktop device. Powered by a Dual Core ARM Cortex A53 processor at 1.2 GHz and 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, the Netgate 2100 excels as a 2.20 Gbps router, a 964 Mbps firewall, or an IPsec VPN solution delivering up to 254 Mbps.
CPU: The Dual Core ARM v8 Cortex-A53 CPU running at 1.2 GHz delivers up to 2.20 Gbps of routing performance with standard iPerf3 traffic and over 964 Mbps of firewall throughput.
Network Ports: Flexible 5-port configuration, including a 4-port Marvell 1 GbE switch and one dedicated 1 GbE WAN RJ45/SFP combo port.
Storage: 8 GB of integrated eMMC storage (optional 32 GB M.2 SATA 2242 SSD).
Memory: 4 GB DDR4 RAM. DDR4 memory ensures improved stability and higher data transfer speeds for memory-intensive applications (e.g., IDS/IPS).
Cooling: The Netgate 2100 features passive cooling and low power consumption, ensuring efficient thermal management and silent operation, as expected from a compact device, despite its significantly high performance.
